ABOUT THE SUMMER GIFT
The artworks are created from original hand-drawn illustrations, composed of thousands of meticulously placed dots. Each dot has been cut with precision onto thick, textured white art paper. The pieces are mounted against a mirror cardboard, adding depth and a reflective quality that enhances their visual impact. The mirror captures light, reflects the room's changing colors, and responds to movement, making the artwork shift and evolve as you view it from different angles.

THE BLACK SUN SERIES
The series is inspired by the mesmerizing natural phenomenon known as Sort Sol (Danish for Black Sun). Sort Sol occurs in the marshlands of southwestern Jutland, Denmark, where large flocks of starlings gather during spring and autumn as they travel between their winter habitats in Southern Europe and their breeding grounds in Scandinavia and the Baltic region. Sort sol takes place in the hours just after sunset where thousands of birds gather in large flocks, creating stunning, ever-shifting patterns that ripple across the horizon before settling down to roost for the night. These dramatic formations, both beautiful and haunting, are captured and reimagined in the Black Sun series.
